While this is happening, we de-scale the engine seawater cooling systems and check the freshwater levels and condition. After starting the engines to flush them through with sea water, we warm them so that the oil and filters can be changed. Whilst this work is being done, it is easy to visually inspect the engines and make recommendations as to what should be done to ensure a trouble free season, and prolong the life of the engines.
